Dr Matthew Wordsworth

Dr Wordsworth is the founder and director of Independent Health Group.
Dr Wordsworth founded the company in 2005 to improve the delivery of patient healthcare in the UK, by developing an innovative range of community-based surgical services.
As such, he has been working closely with the Department of Health on the General Surgery sub-group for the Care Closer to Home (CCH) project.
Dr Wordsworth is personally committed to ensuring a programme of continuous improvement of the level of care delivered by the company. This is secured through ongoing audit, training and supervision. Visits to other Centres of Excellence to share experiences and models of service delivery are also an important part of this process.
