Mr Khairi Hajaji

MBBCH, MSc in surgery( Imperial college), MRCS (Edinburgh), laparoscopic hernia fellowship ( Brazil)

Khairi graduated from medical school at Tripoli University in 1994. He has experience in dealing with a variety of general surgery procedures with interest in upper gastrointestinal surgery, emergency surgery and gall bladder surgery. Further higher surgical training was completed at various hospitals throughout the UK and Qatar.

Mr Hajaji has worked as a consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon since 2011 and has a special interest in hernia surgery including groins, umbilicus and complex ventral hernia. He performs groin and ventral hernias both laparoscopically as well as using open techniques.

Selected Career Highlights

As a senior staff Mr Hajaji has taught junior doctors, medical students and advanced surgical care practitioners.

His research during his MSc post at Imperial College included the transplantation of Human pancreas for treatment of patients with Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus.
