Tony Feltbower

Tony Feltbower

MBBS

I qualified from Cambridge and Westminster Medical School in 1978 and trained as a GP with some basic surgical skills.

I was a GP partner in Coventry from 1982 but retired from General Practice in 2018. I have continued to do regular vasectomy clinics.

I have been writing medico-legal reports as a GP Expert Witness for over 25 years (over 1500 reports for both claimants and doctors).

Selected Career Highlights

I have completed well over 6000 vasectomies in the past 25+ years.

I have been a Principal Trainer in vasectomy for the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) and the Association of Surgeons in Primary Care (ASPC) for over 20 years including being the Vasectomy Lead on the ASPC council and overseeing the training of both trainees and trainers on behalf of the ASPC. I have extensive experience of visiting practices and peer reviewing their services.

I am actively involved in teaching at conferences and vasectomy study days. I am the ‘Vasectomy Guardian’ for the FSRH with the responsibility for reviewing the current training module for vasectomy. I am working with the FSRH to develop new ‘Clinical Standards for Vasectomy’.
